The First-ever Global Cultural event is happening this weekend with lots of exciting activities lined up for the day. The event which is dubbed a family celebration has something for everyone with all age groups expected to have some specific activities designed particularly for them.
According to the organiser led by Mary Ingabire of Global Events, there are over 15 dance and music troupes already lined up and have confirmed participation. The groups coming from all corners of the country will offer a diverse entertainment package.
The inaugural Global Cultural Event aims at creating endless opportunities for creative interaction with heritage and culture celebrated in the heart of Kampala.
The event which will take place on Sunday August 13th at the Uganda Museum will give the children an opportunity to appreciate their ancestral roots through folklore, domestic chores and games while the adults will also have some items designed for them like a section where traditional advisers called Ssengas and Kojjas will talk to them about bedroom matters.
Besides popular music artistes who will stage traditional performances, there will also be local foods and drinks displayed and sold like Enturire, Omuramba, Akonyemu, Omunanansii.
Doors will open as early as 10AM and entry is set at UGx.5,000 for children, UGx.10,000 for adults and UGx.1,000,000 for tables.
