Having first aired on TV in 2013, seven seasons have since been produced and last weekend, the cast of Deception joined their fans in welcoming season 8 of the local drama series which airs on NTV Uganda at a special party.
The premiere which took place at Royal Suites in Bugolobi, was a celebration of the milestone the TV drama has achieved in the past three years and there was a lot of catching up to do as fans took selfies, long conversations and a question and answer session with their favourite actors.
Besides that, there was a dancing session that even interested new NTV Programmes and production head Tsego Motene, a former actress in the Generations soap who was forced to join the dance which had Hindu tracks.
Guests were treated to heavy feast with drinks flowing freely and plenty of food to eat before the speeches by various stake holders involved in the production and management sections.
“I hope the viewers will be as thrilled as I Am.” said George Kihumbah, the Deception Production Director. Viewers hope the last questions that left the viewer’s in suspense when season 7 came to a climax will be answered this time round in season 8 like whether Chris will finally find out the truth about the paternity of his son Elvis and what it means for Monica and their marriage?
