With the nine nominations including the main awards of Album of the Year, Song of the Year and Record of the Year, she is eligible to own these Grammys . Right behind her is Adele with five nominations also among the major categories including Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop Solo Performance, and Best Pop Vocal Album.
Rihanna and Drake are also topping the list with eight nominations each across pop and R&B categories and a massive competition for Queen Bey. Thanks to nominations in the “Urban Contemporary” and Music Video categories, scored nine, including a wild-card one for Best Rock Performance for “Don’t Hurt Yourself,” her Lemonade collaboration with Jack White.
These nominees were announced on Tuesday CBS by Meghan Trainor for the four major categories in the 59th Grammy Awards, which will be broadcast live on February 12 from the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The rest of the 84 categories were posted onto the official Grammys website.
