Renowned Ugandan singer and Philanthropist Angella Katatumba is on the rise after her social status hit even higher levels following her commendable charity work with her Angella Katatumba Development Foundation (AKDF) in which she has spearheaded community-based initiatives.
She has now gone ahead to release a video for her ‘Mugalo Yaffe’ song which she uses to drum support for her campaign to help improve social and medical services in the community and particularly in Mulago referral hospital which is part of her numerous charity projects.
Her recent and most noticeable of the projects being her financial support she extended to Mulago intensive care unit in the national referral hospital under the auspices of ‘Mulago Yaffe’ campaign in which she donated 10million for the purchase of a Phototherapy Machine and Syringe pump which drew a lot of praise and recognition not only at home but also on the international scene as well.
She was recently invited by the United Nations to attend the FIRST ever World Humanitarian Summit scheduled for 23rd and 24th May 2016 in Istanbul, Turkey.
In her ‘Mulago Yaffe’ video Angella shows the state of the hospital while calling upon the public to extend support for our beloved hospital. She also shows some of her charity work done in the hospital before; like painting some of the walls which benefits ‘everyone young or old’. Watch the full video below.
