Anne Kansiime Kubiryaba is a Ugandan comedienne and actress also referred to as “East Africa’s Queen of comedy.” She is one of Africa’s top female comediennes. She had her screen breakthrough in the Don’t Mess with Kansiime show with clips on YouTube that have garnered millions of views on the internet.
Anne Kansiime started her career with Fun Factory in 2007 where they had Comedy Night drama skits every Thursday at Uganda’s National Theatre.
The best skits were broadcast on NTV Uganda in the Barbed Wire TV show that later became U-Turn.
She co-hosted the Mini-Buzz program with Brian Mulondo as a Taxi interview conductor and provided comic video dramatizations of topical issues that random passengers discussed.
Anne Kansiime who also hosts the Don’t Mess with Kansiime television show on Citizen TV in Kenya is a Mukiga from Mparo, Kabale and a graduate of Social Sciences from Makerere University, an old girl of Kabale Primary School and Bweranyangi Girls in Bushenyi.
