Uganda is of late competing with her neighbour Kenya if it comes to hosting Jamaican Reggae artistes. For the past two years Uganda has hosted Chronixx, Maxi Priest, Morgan Heritage and Anthony B. Gyptian and Tarrus Riley were supposed to come and perform last year but their shows did not materialise because of uncontrollable issues.
Recently, Anthony B left Ugandans yearning for more at the Reggae Jam Fest that took place at Legends Grounds although it was interrupted by KCCA officials over reasons that it exceeded Midnight time limit.
For the Reggae lovers who were left in suspense, worry not because another Jamaican superstar is coming to rock Uganda. Come Sunday the 22nd of April, Eric Donaldson famous for songs like ‘Cherry Oh Baby’ original version, ‘Sweet Jamaica’, ‘You Got Let Me Go’, ‘Delilah’ among others is slated to perform at the upcoming Cherry Oh Baby Jamboree slated to happen at the Munyonyo based Jahazi Pier
