The last time singers A Pass and Geosteady made news over the same reason was when they were at social media war that was started by A Pass who was dissing Geosteady
They back in the news for the same reason and this time round they are not fighting a social media war but they are in a campaign which might see them in a stiff competition if only are they serious about it.
The singers took to their social media accounts and shared electronic posters announcing them as presidential candidates for the upcoming 2021 Uganda general elections. They could have have however broken the Electoral Commission rules by publishing campaign posters before time.
We hope it isn’t another publicity stunt just it was the case for their social media war months ago especially basing on the fact that they recently dropped singles namely ‘Guliwano’ and ‘Finally’ respectively.
A Pass whose campaign slogan is ‘Uganda has cried enough’ wrote a statement on his Facebook page and said
“My dream has always been to be a leader and for a very long time I have been running away from my dream, the dream of being the president of Uganda. I have now decided to focus on politics as well because my people need me, they need a president like me who cares about them, the time is now and am starting my campaign today and am serious. A serious President is needed in Uganda and I am him.”
Geosteady whose slogan is ‘I can’t leave you to die’ also took to his Facebook page and wrote “Do what is right, not what is easy. Finding the real meaning of “FINALLY” Are we together??”
