Bavaria Launches 330 ml 8.6 Original Bottles in Uganda

8.6 has been in Uganda for a few years now and with several premium variants like  8.6 Original (8.6 % ABV) 8.6 Black  (7.9% ABV) which is a stout and 8.6 Extreme (10.5%) already in supply. Bavaria is Holland based brewery and one of the biggest in the world. All these variants are currently available in 500 ml cans and majorly consumed from Supermarket and independent stores and therefore as a way of staying relevant and increase market share in other channels, it has launched the 330 ml bottle.

8.6 Original’s Bottled version was launched on 31st March 2016 at a media party / press conference at Diners Lounge Bukoto. The media was treated to beer tasting of the 8.6 portfolio.  Micah Musabe, the brand manager of Bavaria from Vicland Distributors Ltd shared the opening note and brand values and was followed by Florent Renders, the Business Development Manager of Bavaria who took charge of the beer tasting. The sleek, curvy edged brown 330 ml bottle was later unveiled at around 8 pm. It shall re define the urban night life by offering Ugandans who seek to be different, and explore the edges with the rich taste profile and character delivered by 8.6 special blonde beer.

“Most beers in Uganda are lagers and Ugandans don’t know or have never tried a wide range of beer categories available world wide. 8.6 is a strong, rich and intense beer, the secret of its success lies in its consistency to balance strength, taste and easy drinkability as a result of unique brewing methods, hence delivering special beer with a rich gold color,” that is the most truly defining statement we got from Florent Renders of Bavaria during his speech.

A photo moment followed and in no time, everyone was enjoying the bottled 8.6 original socializing and interacting with the Bavaria and Vicland crew. 8.6 is set to run a series of exciting activations in the coming months entailing several activities like free tasting/sampling in your favorite bars and hangouts, outdoor advertisements, radio and TV commercials, sponsorships etc re affirming its position as a the premium strong rich tasting beer of choice.
