For over ten years now, Bebe Cool has been criticized for not owning a house like his peers especially Chameleone and Bobi Wine.
The debate was fueled this week after Eddy Kenzo bought a house worth millions of shillings. Social media platforms were filled with comparisons between Bebe who has been in the industry for over 25 years and Kenzo who has been there for close to 7 years.
The Gagamel boss said he is happy for Kenzo for he has achieved something but cautioned people to be calculative.
“It makes sense if i invest in something that is going to help me earn more money, respect and acknowledgment.
If I get 500millions and i build a house of that amount, i won’t have anything left but when i use like 300million to build rentals, I’m guaranteed at least 6million every month which I can use to build my house and then use the remaining 200million shillings to shoot videos like ‘Love u everyday’ that will fetch me awards, get acknowledged allover the world and have content for a concert that will fetch me more money,” He explained.
The ‘Go maama’ artiste further said his responsibility now is to raise the Uganda flag high because he won’t be held accountable by other upcoming artistes.
As precaution, Bebe Cool advised all artistes to never forget the people who helped them rise to stardom and said its the main reason why song writers, producers, video directors and artistes always want to work with him over and over again.
Bebe Cool was last night talking on the NTV’s Koona program where he was hosted by Miles Rwamiti.
