Following the Friday 31st of August 2018 incident where angry ‘People Power’ fans pelted dozens of empty plastic and glass bottles on Bebe Cool over his comments on Bobi Wine who was then in prison over alleged treason and gun possession offences, he decided to give public performances a break.
During the 3 months break, the musician flew to the USA with video director Sasha Vybz to shoot some music videos
The ‘Love You Every Day’ singer finally returned home a few weeks ago to prepare for his annual ‘Tondeka E Kiwatule’ concert that takes place every Boxing Day’ (26th December).
It was a successful fun filled sold out event last night the 26th of December as Bebe Cool’s fans whom he calls the ‘Silent Majority’ plus well wishers enjoyed music and comic performances from top city entertainers.
He took stage at a few minutes to 11 PM, as the excited fans that had not seen him perform anywhere for 3 months cheered.
Clad in a pair of yellow sneakers, black fitting pants and a yellow hoodie, Bebe kicked off his live performance with ‘Ki Ekiganye’, ‘Nanana’, ‘Batiddemu’, ‘Ndi Wuwo’, ’18 And Over’, ‘Fire Anthem’, ‘Katono’, ‘Kabulengane’, ‘Bogolako’, ‘Cuss Cuss’, ‘Up And Whine’, ‘Want It’, ‘Mbozi Zamalwa’ among many other songs
Just like how the Golden Heart concert’s proceeds took care of all the expenses to fly 6 children for special operations in India, those from Tondeka E Kiwatule concert will go pay school fee for over 200 primary school pupils.
Apart from Bebe Cool, there were other performances from A Pass Ykee Benda, Fille, Spice Diana, Feffe Bussi, Allan Hendrick, Irene Ntale, Fik Fameica, Gagamel Band, Voltage Music and Comedians Maricahi and Mad Rat and Chiko among others
