Last Friday, Proline football academy which is arguably the best soccer academy in Uganda awarded last season’s best players in a glamorous occasion at Piato Restaurant in an event that saw various players recognized for their awesome contribution towards their football careers.
The ceremony saw many players walking away with trophies and certificates but it was Bebe Cool’s son Alpha Thierry Ssali who stole the show after clinching both the under 14 most consistent & Player of the Year awards.
Regardless of being named after former Arsenal FC football legend, Thierry Henry, Alpha also assured his father that he’s going to play for the Uganda Cranes and Manchester United when he grows up, contrary to his father’s wishes of him playing for Arsenal. “I’m so grateful to mum and dad and I promise you that I will play for the Uganda Cranes and Manchester United. Not Arsenal.” Alpha said after receiving his Player of the year award.
Both Bebe Cool and his wife Zuena took their excitement to social media to congratulate their son for this achievement.
Alpha helped his team to beat Liverpool Football International Academy earlier this year after scoring two goals out of three and besides that, he has been pivotal throughout last season scoring goals and contributing others.
As the Cool family was celebrating their achievement, Flavia Tumusiime was also in jubilation after her endorsement deal still at Proline football academy went trhough.
The celebrated Capital FM presenter and NTV news anchor was appointed board member of Proline Football Club during the same night and now has all the rights to fire, hire and contribute towards the company.
