Betway hosted an exclusive Sports Leadership seminar, over the weekend of the 20th -22nd January intended to benefit the sports leaders in the industry with development of sports in Uganda.
The private seminar explored the latest trends in international sport, club development and specialization, plus common issues of marketing and communication in the sports arena.
This comes at a relevant time when Uganda’s sports industry is highly recognized in the International scene with the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations and the local league (Azam Uganda Premier League) is at peak performance and an achievement Betway is proud to be a part of.
Forwardzone CEO, Ashley Kotzin presented the workshop, delivering strategic and expert development and thought leadership insight.
Betway Country Manager Anton Opperman Stated on Friday 20th, “this is a great opportunity for sports leaders to learn, as well as pass on the knowledge to other sports organizations. It is a sign that Betway is committed and serious about making a difference in local sport.”
Uganda Premier League CEO, Mr Bernard Bainamani, goes on to say, “the training is in line with the FA and League strategy of developing sport through human resource development, termed as capacity building. As the Uganda Premier League (UPL), this offers us an opportunity to have an insight of how PSL and EPL have succeeded and how we can reach that kind of status in Uganda.
This will be a starting point in the formulation of the UPL 5-year Strategic Plan 2017-2022, helping us define our road map for the next 5 years going forward. We thank Betway for taking the initiative and supporting sports development in Uganda. As managers of the league, we appreciate this massive opportunity.”
With this seminar, Betway (A Forwardzone Client) intends to achieve improved club management and eventual sports development within Uganda.
