Big Brother Audition Dates, Venues Officially Announced

You want to be a Big Brother Africa house mate this season? Well here is your chance if you think you got what it takes. Big Brother Africa 9 is around the corner and the whole of Africa is getting excited. Audition dates and venues have been announced and the search for the next group of Africa’s most entertaining, open-minded, bold and adventurous stars officially kicks off.

The show that has produced instant stars like Uganda’s Gaetano Kaggwa, will kick off officially in September and the audition dates and venues have officially been announced. Unlike in previous years, this year’s entry process is slightly different as potential housemates are set to audition in their respective country venues and Rwanda is set to debut this time right.

All interested persons over the age of 21, and are citizens of one of the participating countries with a valid passport, can participate in Big Brother Africa 9 which begins on Sunday, 7th September and is scheduled to run for 91 days.

For those who are interested in auditioning, here are the Audition Details;

  • Botswana – Gabarone at Cresta President Hotel on 4th and 5th July 2014
  • Ethiopia – Addis Ababa at Capital Hotel and Spa on 30th June 2014
  • Ghana – Accra at Holiday Inn Hotel Airport on 5th and 6th July 2014
  • Kenya – Nairobi at The Hilton Nairobi on 3rd and 4th July 2014
  • Malawi – Lilongwe (The Crossroads Hotel): 30 June and 1 July 2014
  • Namibia – Windhoek at Hilton Hotel on 8th and 9th July 2014
  • Nigeria – Lagos at Protea Hotel Leadway, Ikeja on 30th June and 1st July 2014
  • Rwanda – Kigali at The Lemigo Hotel on 9th July 2014
  • Sierra Leone – Free Town at The Country Lodge Complex on 9th July 2014
  • South Africa – Johannesburg at The Pyramid Venue and Conference Center on 30th June and 1st July 2014
  • Tanzania – Dar Es Salaam at New Africa Hotel on 11th and 12th July 2014
  • Uganda – Kampala at Sheraton Hotel on 7th and 8th July 2014
  • Zambia – Lusaka at InterContinental Hotel on 4th and 5th July 2014
  • Zimbabwe – Harare at The Meikles Hotel on 12th and 13th July 2014

The prize money for this season is $300,000 and the reality TV show  will be screened live 24/7 on DStv channels 197 and 198, while GOtv audiences will have an opportunity to watch highlights of the show.
