Arguably the most applauded outdoor event in the country today, Blankets and Wine is back yet again. Come this Sunday, the third edition will be underway at the Uganda National Museum. Many of the top acts have already packed their bags to come down here, and most, if not all, will be here tonight. Fans therefore have a chance to mix and mingle with them at the Meet and Greet happening this evening, at Club Play, in the Industrial Area Kampala.
Among the highlighting casts is Swahili Nation, originally a veteran trio of Kenyan artistes reckoned with songs like “Malaika”, “Nyama” and “Hakuna Matata”. As of now, it is made up of a Ugandan Ken-Zo and Wayne Beckford as well as Charlie King. Joining them are Kenya’s Kansoul, a combination of Madtraxx, KidKora and Mejja. Headlining the homegrown cast is the magic fingered Myko Ouma, with his guitar in tow.
The meet and greet is a welcome warm up for the major event over the weekend, and fans can actually get the chance to chat and shake hands with the stars, who may be understandably elusive come the main function.
The meet and greet gas been dubbed “Meet The Stars” and will be going on from 9pm till late.
