Bobi Wine has once again shown that he is a man of the people when he decided to participate in sanitary activities along with his daughter and a team from helping hand outreach.
The ghetto president could be seen cleaning parts of Kamwokya a Kampala suburb with several other people as they aimed at tidying the place up. In a social media post he shared with his fans, he said
‘Me, my daughter Shalom, the residents and local leaders together with our friends from #HelpingHandOutreach started our weekend by cleaning up the Kamwokya neighbourhood and sensitizing the community members about sanitation related diseases that can be prevented.’
If there is one artist who has won over hearts of many Ugandans over the past few months it’s definitely Bobi Wine and this is not because of his music but his ‘ubuntu’ that saw him spearhead charity drives, mentor the youth and help provide solutions for them. A few months ago the Sema singer revealed on Dembe Fm that he is working on building his new image that will help people grow with positive beliefs. He further said that he has rebranded into edutainment music because he wants his music to work as a tool of communication to Ugandans.
“I am now doing edutainment. When I was a young boy, I inspired ghetto youth into doing wrong things like taking drugs and alcohol but since am now grown up man with a wife and children, I decided to do music that will work towards changing society,” he said.
With his ever growing popularity, one can’t help but him a nod in the upcoming MP race for Kyadondo east.
