Through the NBS After 5 weekly social media campaign dubbed ‘Golden Song Of The Week’ where they share four songs from local artistes for fans to vote their best song which is announced every Friday, last week saw Jose Chameleone’s fresh hit ‘Champion’ beat the other 3 songs to the Ug Shs 50 Million grand prize.

Although many news websites rushed to confuse the public that the 50 million was handed to Chameleone in cash, the real truth is that the money is worth advertisement and the contract was signed between Chameleone and Mr Kin Kariisa the CEO NBS TV last week.

Champion managed to beat songs namely ‘Didadada’ by A Pass, ‘Pon Mi’ by Beenie Gunter and ‘Who Is Me’by Da Agent. The news of Champions’ victory was announced to the voters and public at large by Douglas Lwanga who is one of the hosts of the After 5 show which runs daily from 5 to 7 PM.

“#NBSGOLDENSONG of the Month MARCH is CHAMPION winning 50million UGX worth of advertisement 4m @NBSTV The Beast The Legend Heavy Weight ; Congrats all the Leone Island Fans. Congrats JOSE CHAMELEONE” Read Douglas Tweet

The song whose video caught many people’s eyes because of its extra ordinary features and the technology that was employed in creating it is barely two months after its release and we are not surprised it has already been announced as the ‘Golden Song Of The Week’ at NBS TV. Congratulations to the Leone Island boss.
