Last year, Fred Ssebatta and Chance Nalubega were among the best performers at the Bayimba Festival at National Theatre. Their performances went down as the best among the many during the festival.

Themed ‘Celebrating Uganda’s greatest band music’, the show is sponsored by Nile Special and apart from the mentioned above that is Legendary Afrigo Band, Kadongo Kamu veteran Lord Fred Fred Ssebata and Uganda’s darling Chance Nalubega, power-singing couple Sam and Sophie Gombya (The Gombyaz) are also headlined to perform.
Ahead of the show, Chance Nalubega said that it has been long ever since Ugandans saw her on stage and she will make it a point to prove she still has her A-game. “I am happy that Sprout Africa has decided to create a platform for artiste that have been in the Industry for a long time because Ugandans love to sing and dance to old music since old wine is sweet wine” said Nalubega said a press briefing
The first edition of the event featured vetetran singers Halima Namakula, Kabuye Sembonga and Mariam Ndagire at a red carpet event that took place at Kampala Serena Hotel where the second edition is set to happen a few months from now
