Maurice Kirya’s The Sound Cup restaurant, hosted a classical music show yesterday and my God, wasn’t it amazing.
There is clearly no word that can define the performance put on by the Kampala Music School. Awesome feels like an understatement, (this is the part where I come up with a random forged word) but due to a loss of words, I will just settle for mind blowing.
Performing for an hour, the music school treated fans to opera and classical music. With many revelers baffled by the chords, it felt like ‘Sound of Music’ all over again, with free spirited Maria singing in the gardens.
The show, which was free entry for everyone, brought to life this wild rush of excitement that was some what palpable and for some reason it had me reminiscing about Tom and Jerry and the James Bond movies. Yes, the music was that amazing.
Ecstatic about the turn up and the performance, Maurice Kirya took to Facebook to thank fans and the Kampala Music School.
“Last night was awesome! Thanks to The Kampala Music School for an amazing show!” “Thanks to all the fans that packed the venue! You all were lovely! “
