To be fashionable and to look good, one needs a good salon with professional staff where their hair, nails and the rest are worked on. With an aim of changing Uganda’s salon standards to first class, last Saturday night a new classy salon called Chez Marlez salon and Spa was officially opened at a media party with a red carpet treat at their fully and finely furnished base in 2nd floor Lugogo Plaza opposite Kololo secondary School.
Journalists were taken around the Salon’s premises and later on, the revellers turned out for the opening party that was hosted by Mohammed Kimbugwe. While giving her remarks, Leslie Karungi the Salon’s proprietor excitedly told the different journalists who were in attendance on how they can accommodate 10 clients for manicure and pedicure at once on the nail bar.
It was a light moment that saw journalists and revellers mingle and take pictures in the well lit salon and lastly dinner was served to all, concluding the event at leisure.
“We wanted to something we can call home where you come do your hair, nails and everything and then you have somewhere to relax and fell home. We have brought only original products from the UK because Ugandans love cheep things where they go to China for cheep stuff to save a lot and by the end of the day you find some people especially ladies’ skins destroyed. We have different prices for different things. For example hair treatment goes for 30 K we also have that of 15 and 60″ Haddy Sengo Halliwell the Public relations officer Chez Marlez salon told Chano8
