All is set for the Club Mega Fest as International super stars are set to jet in today. When Chano8 visited Namboole today, the stage was set with final touches being put on the lighting as sound equipment was being tested by technicians and engineers from Fenon Records.
The stage that is already massive (About 30 meters wide) with neon lighting and mega sound system will be a first of its kind in Uganda. The tents have also been erected as well as banners directing guests to their respective seats have been placed. Security at the venue is already on high alert.
“We are set and only the slight drizzle has stopped the testing, otherwise everything is set and ready for tomorrow”. A technician who preferred anonymity said while connecting speakers around the stage.
Burna Boy has already landed in Uganda while Mafikizolo (South Africa) and Patra (Jamaica) are expected any time soon with Shaggy arriving later today.
“Club is always about what’s fresh and Mega Fest is what’s up now! We’re moving forward and not looking back…we have no side mirrors! We do not believe in repeating our selves. We’ve been brewing this for over a year and it will give our local artists to perform with the big stars.” Said Sam Hooper Club brand manager.
Twenty local artists which include Jose Chameleone, Bebe Cool Cindy and Sheeba will share the stage with the international stars. Entry fee is set at 20,000/= for general and 50,000/= for VIP.
We will give live updates on proceedings tomorrow so watch this space.
