Ragga and dancehall singer Coco Finger was robbed by unidentified thugs in the wee hours of this morning and his car vandalized. The registration number of his Range Rover was removed and taken by the thugs who only left a telephone number behind.
According to the singer, after he tried to reach the thugs, they demanded for money and even threatened to kill him if he didn’t comply with their demands..
“GOOD AFTERNOON MY BEAUTIFUL FAMILY WELL AM NOT, TODAY MORNING BAD PEOPLE CAME TO MY HOME AND STOLE A FEW DOMESTIC ITEMS BUT WORSE OF ALL THEY TOOK MY CAR NUMBER PLATE LEFT A TELEPHONE CONTACT BEHIND ON CALLING, APART FROM ASKING FOR MONEY THEY ARE THREATENING MY LIFE. SO TO ALL CONCERNED AUTHORITIES THIS IS HOW UNSAFE WE ARE”. He posted on Facebook.
The singer known for his song ‘My Miss’ now crying to police and authorities to come his rescue. Our efforts to reach Coco Finger were futile by the time we went to press as his known numbers were inaccessible but he eventually answered our messages and confirmed the incident which he says he reported to police and registered a case of robbery on Entebbe Road. Police told him the number (when zoomed shows 0795311524) that the thugs left can be tracked though the case should first reach Central Police Station (CPS)
This comes after a few hours when another musician Gravity Omutujju was shot and wounded by a security guard in Mityana when he had gone to perform there. He is still nursing injuries.
Coco Finger is not the only artiste whose car has been vandalized or been robbed in the recent past with singer Angella Katatumba also robbed of 6million after being beaten at Chicken Tonight in Kabalagala April last year.RnB singer Maro’s car was stolen in broad day light in 2017 while others like Chris Evans and Spice Dian also suffered similar fates.
