When Jamaican Dancehall artiste Konshens came to Uganda for the first time for a concert at Lugogo Cricket Oval, Yung Mulo was among the best curtain raisers that night. As a matter of fact, he was second last to showcase before Konshens took to the stage and many thought that Ugandan Dancehall had gotten a perfect representative.
Even Jose Chameleone who came after Mulo didn’t impress so much but those were the days when he had hit songs like ‘Tebakusobola’, ‘Badman’ and ‘Gyal Formula’ among others. However, as years passed, he became a shadow of himself and lately, he is considered to have faded.
The artiste has been in and out of the studio but with no luck. All the jams he has released fade away in a few weeks and it is for this reason that he decided to jump onto someone whom he thinks can revive his career and that is none other than veteran and celebrated musician Bebe Cool.
Late last week, Yung Mulo dared Bebe Cool for a battle at Lugogo Cricket Oval and perhaps he thinks the ‘Wasibukawa’ singer is his weight.
“#BEBECOOL BATUTEEKE MU CRICKET OVAL. TEEWALI KULOPA #THEONLYBATTLETHATMATTERS#LIKETHAT,” Yung Mulo posted on his official Facebook page. loosely translated as ‘Let us go battle at Lugogo Cricket Oval and no excuses’
Mulo who hasn’t been in the music industry for a long time is so determined to have a one on one with an artiste who has been in the industry for 25 years. Many music critics have since then said that he is seeking for a big music come back
