A big win calls for a big celebration. This is exactly what David Lutalo did after winning two accolades in the Uganda Entertainment Awards last Friday evening.
The artiste yesterday threw a mega party in Kabusu, a city suburb with his fans, friends and family to congratulate himself for the big win.
His ‘Mubi bubi’ track alongside Maro was voted the collaboration of the year song as well as being named the male artiste of the year in the first Uganda Entertainment Awards that took place at Speke resort Munyonyo.
Lutalo bought drinks and eats worth millions and was seen having a good time with his fans and friends.
Asked why he had to celebrate, the artiste said it was a big achievement in his music career. “These are not my awards. They belong to my fans. It feels so nice to be appreciated by other people. These accolades are a sign that my hard work is being noticed and its a very big achievement in my music career.”
David Lutalo’s breakthrough song was ‘Kapapala’ back then around 2006 and he followed it up with quite a number of other hits like ‘Batusosola’, ‘Engumba zange’, ekilove love, Helena with Radio and Weasel and Mubi bubi’ among others.
