She might be one of the oldest actresses in Uganda, but Sarah Kisawuzi is a far better actress than most Ugandans in the film industry. Her role in NTV series Deception is impeccable that you might think she has spent most of her life on the screens.
Because of her infinite role as Nalweyiso, a very deceitful and hypocritical mother in Deception that airs every Monday at 8pm on NTV, she was able to emerge as the best actress overcoming Mariam Ndagire, Annet Nandujja and Hellen Lukoma in the just concluded Uganda Entertainment Awards.
Upon receiving her accolade, the actress thanked her husband for being supportive and understanding towards her acting career. “I would like to thank my husband for supporting me throughout my career as an actress though he didn’t like it in the beginning.”
She also dedicated her first accolade in the movie industry to her sick parents in Bweyogerere. “You might think I’m old but both my parents are still alive. I would therefore dedicate this award to them. They suffered stroke, but I know they are watching what their daughter is achieving now on Urban TV in Bweyogerere and I would like to thank God for their lives.” She said.
Sarah Kisawuzi made her debut with Deception a few years ago, but her acting prowess has earned her notable recognition in the industry as well as endorsement deals with some of the best corporate companies.
