With a flurry of events happening this Independence weekend, it promises to be a busy and exciting one for the partygoers as they will have a variety to choose from or even attend all if they so wish.
One of those events to lookout for is the Sip N’ Dip Pool Party happening at Cayenne Lounge and Restaurant in Bukoto on Saturday October 7th where South African producer and singer DJ Maphorisa is scheduled to headline.
DJ Maphorisa known for many club bangers including the hit single Particula in which he features Patoranking, Ice Prince, Nasty C, Jidenna, and Major Lazer will be in town for the party courtesy of Ciroc Uganda.
According to the organizers, DJ Maphorise will be accompanied by many other top spin masters from Uganda and abroad which include Hola Jefe from the USA, DJ Rachael (Uganda), Kampiire (Uganda), Suraj (Kenya), Dark Meme (Uganda), and Kas Baby (Uganda).
While speaking about the event last month, UBL’s Reserve and IPS Manager Mr Roger Agamba said they are proud to partner and associate with the event organizers especially when big name artistes like DJ Maphorise is involved.
“As the anthem of celebration, we are always working around the clock to bring quality and exclusive party experiences to Kampala people. The Sip N’ Dip event featuring DJ Maphorisa is not only a must-attend event, but you can also be sure of nothing short of the luxurious celebration that Ciroc is known for. Being a busy weekend, gates to the Sip N’ Dip event will open as early as 1pm with tickets selling at Shs35,000 per person which can be purchased at Cayenne Lounge, Que Pasa in Kisementi and Funz Video in Muyenga.

DJ Maphorisa, real name Themba Sonnyboy Sekowe, is a multi-talented performer/producer born and raised in Pretoria, South Africa. He started his career with the release of the chart topping single “Y-Tjukutja” in 2013. The song was undoubtedly the biggest song in South Africa that year, and catapulted him to the top of South Africa’s entertainment industry.
The following year, he produced and featured on Mafikizolo’s “Khona“, which topped many charts and won several awards in South Africa and beyond including Song of the Year at the 2014 MTV Africa Music Awards.
