Eddy Kenzo is one Ugandan artiste who has really invested some much time in his music this year, one simply can’t begin to count the number of songs he has released so far and his collaborations with West African artistes has further helped build his brand.
When he recently released the high quality video of Shake yo body featuring Tip Swizy, his haters could be heard mumbling that it wouldn’t hit the 10,000 view mark within the first week of its release. Well, I have news for you, the video has 18,000 views so far and for those local stations that feel his music videos don’t suit them, well, I have for you as well, MTV is playing it and has indeed shared it on their website, it’s about time you joined in on the action.
In January fresh off featuring on the official Trace AFCON song, the artiste was marked as one of the five African artistes to watch in 2015 by UK newspaper the guardian. Following the endorsement, Eddy Kenzo didn’t lie back, but rather work hard as he got to work on several collaborations with West African artistes like Gasha, Patoranking and Kcee among others.
This not only made him a force to reckon with but also helped grow his fan base in West Africa, so I wasn’t surprised when he recently had a sold out show in Cote D’ivoire and recently went on to win a massive award in Burkina Faso, if that isn’t a statement of his prowess and tenacity then get this, American superstar Akon highly regards him and if all goes well they are to work on a project together.
With that said, you definitely have to watch his Shake yo body video, his creativity and execution is simply flawless. We couldn’t help ourselves, but share the video with you.
