The Lock Down Concert organised by Mavuno Church Kampala and SMS ONE is just a day away and the main headliner who is none other than Zimbabwean vocalist Oliver Mtukudzi arrived in Uganda aboard Ethiopian Airlines today morning at a few minutes past 3 AM alongside an entourage of 5.
Shortly after his arrival the ‘Todi’ hit singer Mtukudzi who was clad in a black kangaroo cap, a blue sweater, white trousers and a black pair shoes was warmly welcomed by the team from Mavuno Church Kampala before he addressed a brief press conference where he told his Ugandan fans to expect nothing but only the best showcase of all time.
“I feel like home already, there is so much press coming op that makes feel at home. On Friday, expect dynamites, please bring your dancing shoes. It is not going to be a sit down and watch.” Oliver Mtukudzi told the journalists
This is his second time in Uganda and FOMO is already on as fans anticipate to flock the Nakasero based Imperial Royale Hotel to have an experience with not only Mtukudzi and other headlining performers like Zambian gospel singer Pompi who arrived yesterday, Kanjii Mbugua from Kenya, singer Naava Grey and comedians Anne Kansiime and Pablo who will be the hosts.
On the other hand, this concert’s entry fee is only Ug Shs 75,000 at the entrance or 50,000 for advance tickets and 3,000,000 for corporate tables. The concert is proudly sponsored by NBS TV and AJ Music and tickets can be bought from SMS ONE offices located in Kololo Lower Terrace.
