For the past two weeks, Raggamufin Weasel Manizo has been publicizing ‘Moses The Great’ (MTG) album listeners party to be held at the Acacia Avenue based DNA Lounge. MTG is an album that the late Mowzey Radio who was singing Weasel’s partner left before releasing.
As a way of celebrating his legacy, Weasel found it important to invite fans and treat them an exclusive silent disco album listeners party on Radio’s 34th birthday which was on Friday the 25th of February 2019.
However, as Weasel was busy hyping the event, Radio’s family through the Assistant Administrator General/Public Trustee wrote a letter to Weasel and Goodlyfe to cease and desist from any release of the late Mowzey Radio’s songs without express authorization from the Administrator General
Weasel gave this letter a blind eye and continued with the plan of the album release and listeners party which took place last Friday but prior to the party,Weasel and some members of Goodlyfe were summoned at Kibuli Criminal Investigation Department (CID) offices for duplicating and releasing of Radio’s songs without his family’s consent
Despite all this, the party continued as planned only that ‘Moses The Great album’ was not released and neither did the attendees listen to the songs off it as was planned.
The party only saw some local artistes, comedians, some music promoters join together to celebrate the late’s 34th birthday which was climaxed with cake cutting live Dj mixes until the wee hours of the morning
Some of the revellers who had come to listen to the late’s album were heard complaining when they saw no sign.
Could Weasel and Goodlyfe have failed to release the album because they succumbed to the pressure and warning from Radio’s family?
