Initially, it was said that radio presenter Gaetano and comedian Salvado were unveiled as the ambassadors for the Northern Uganda ‘Tulambule Uganda Campaign’ that kicked off earlier on Friday but before setting off from the Independence Monument, we noticed that kickboxer Golola Moses and Capital FM’s Marcus Kwikiriza had also joined the team.
On top of these, socialite Anita Fabiola as well as Miss Uganda UK Peninah Wampamba have also been included on this campaign.
The five celebrities will be on a countrywide tourism-promoting campaign and after their departure, they made their first trip in Luweero district before they proceeded to the north.
Ever since the campaign kicked off last year, Zari was the first ambassador and it was said she did it for passion and was never paid which wasn’t the case. We are not certain how much she was paid but her trip didn’t make so much impact. In fact, Anita Fabiola made more news than Zari in the last Eastern Uganda edition in January.
According to minister for tourism Hon. Godfrey Kiwanda, the team will be touring Acholi and Lango regions.
