Barely a few days after Uganda and the rest of the world comes to terms with the loss of Goodlyfe singer Mowzey Radio, Africa has yet lost another promising young talent in Ghanaian Dancehall and Afro-beat singer Ebony Reigns.
The West African country was thrown in shock after the 20-year old singer was reported dead after she was involved in a horrible accident on the Sunyani – Kumasi road. News outlets from Ghana and other parts of the world have widely reported about her loss describing it as ‘a major blow’ for the family and music fraternity.
Just like Radio’s case, there are also many question marks that have come up with some sections claiming foul play in the sudden death of the youthful singers. Uganda’s Radio died of head injuries following a bar brawl in Entebbe resulting into finger-pointing incidences n social media where popular music producer Washington Ebangit’s name has featured prominently.
The Dancehall artists who was just starting to rise to prominence warmed her way into the hearts of many Ghanaians with her raw talent was reportedly in the company of two military officers in a Jeep with registration AS 497—16. According to media reports, the accident happened at Nyamebekyere near Mankranso in the Ahafo Ano South, a district in the Ashanti Region on Thursday following a head-on collision with a VIP bus. The driver is currently on admission at Bechem Government Hospital receiving treatment.

Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng (born 16 February 1997; known by the stage name Ebony) is a Ghanaian dancehall/Afrobeats artist widely known for her hit songs “Poison” and “Kupe”, she was discovered by renowned musician and entrepreneur Bullet, a member of Ruff n Smooth fame.
