Glitz and Glamour At The Premiere Of Bala Bala Sese Movie

Last Night another chapter in the history books of theater and cinema were opened as Ugandans thronged the red-carpet at Theater La’Bonita for the official premiere of the latest local movie Bala Bala Sese.

The film, a creation of Badi World Productions is about a boyfriend’s battle for love through perseverance is directed by Bashir Lukyamuzi also known as BADI and written by Usama Mukwaya.

The film highlights the trials and tribulations of a young couple living on the remote Sese Islands at the height of the AIDS scourge and stars Micheal Kasaija(John) and wife Natasha Sinayobye (Maggie) as the troubled lovers at the center of the heat.

It also features new kid on the block A-Pass’ hit song ‘Wuuyo’ as it’s official sound-track. A pass who was present at the premiere stepped on stage after the screening of the film to entertain his fans and thank them for supporting local talent and our own producers.

Despite being the director’s first ever feature film, Bashir says he is more interested in sharing his film with the world than just filling up the cinema. It is also the writer Usama Mukwaya and the producer’s first ever film with the team previously specializing on music videos and short stories.

Last night’s glamorous premiere attracted a host of film stars, corporate personalities, socialites, directors and media personnel among others.

It started with a press briefing, photo opportunity and then the screening session before Lukwamuzi the 28-year-old multi-award winning music video producer and director introduced his technical team and cast including the likes of the likes of  The Ebonies’ Raymond Rushabiro (Kasirivu), Jabal Ddungu, Natasha Sinayobye, Ismael Ssesanga (Alex) and Fiona Birungi to the fans.

KFMs Tindi who was co-host cracked the audience with a some jokes and praised the work and called the public for support in order to push these talented people to international level. Watch the trailer below
