The hours are running and the big day is drawing closer as organisers are putting final touches on arrangements to make the ‘Tugende Mukikadde’ show a memorable. According to Eddy Yawe one of the celebrated vocalists at legendary band Afrigo Band, the show will surely be classic as its theme suggests.
Yawe who is the bridge between the old guard and the young blood at the 40-year old band while exclusively speaking to Chano8 about what to expect said they are more than ready come Saturday 6th April at Kampala Serena Hotel.
“Classic doesn’t have a dad or a date and is organic just like the word itself, it is going to be a classic show. Music on that day will be classic not classical because classic is reality. From the guitars, drums, vocals to the dress code, everything will be classic.” Yawe explained
“As a fan, one should expect 100% of live music from myself Eddie Yawe, Mariam, Kabuye Semboga, Frank Mbalire, Afrigo Band and others. Come 6th we are ready to give it all to the fans.” Headded.
When asked about what type of crowd the show has been packed for and what they expect to see at the show, the youthful Yawe proudly said. “We expect the oldies to attend as well as the youth with taste as well as corporate and those who do not want to listen to bubble gum music”
He also added that three different bands – Solid Band, Zinyuma, and Afrigo will be backing up the stars which include; Halima Namakula, Sammy Kasule, Mariam Ndagire, Kabuye Sembogga, Frank Mbalire and Afrigo Band which has Moses Matovu, Joanita Kawalya, Eddie Yawe, Herman Ssewanyana, Joe Tabula, Rachael Magoola among others.
The group will play both their old and new songs and expect gates to open as early as 6pm. Entry charges are set at 100,000/- for VIP, 500,000/- for VVIP (Individuals) and 5,000,000/- for VVIP tables which comes with drinks and some bites.
