It’s no longer a surprise that TV stars are leaving NTV for perhaps greener pastures elsewhere. Stars like Douglas Lwanga, Raymond Mujuni and MC Kats have all left the Serena Hotel based station and the only person remaining was Sheilah Gashumba who also looks like she has left. Well according to her message she posted yesterday.
Shiella talked about her journey so far and if you read closely, this might be a farewell to her fans.
“I started my career as a TV presenter/personality at the age of 8 at the defunct WBS TV. I say thank you to WBS TV and will always treasure my time there. I was the youngest girl accredited to cover the CHOGM event in 2007. I covered the Channel O awards and MTV Awards in South Africa and last year I was the only TV presenter from Uganda accredited to cover the BET Awards in Los Angeles, California in the United States. I visited the Universal Studios in Los Angeles and now the Universal Music Group has invited to me to cover East Africa’s biggest artist Diamond Platnumz in an exclusive VIP Music album launch in Nairobi today. The best practical education you will ever get is traveling and getting to know firsthand lifestyles, culture, way of people, etc. Nothing teaches you more than exploring the world and accumulating experiences. Guess my next stop??” Part of the post reads.
Then she completes it by thanking her fans, NTV and her international manager Rosie Motene and that they are working on something that will inspire the youths in Uganda and in the greats region.
