It was a big heart break once again as Uganda Cranes crashed out of the African Cup of Nations With a 2-0 Loss to Guinea in a qualifier played in Casablanca Morocco.
Uganda Cranes who were looking to qualify for the continental show down for the first time since 1978, were demolished in a one sided affair played on neutral ground in Morocco over fears of the spread of Ebola virus.
The Guinea side settled straight away from kick off and dominated possession with danger man and captain Ibrahim Traore tormenting the Cranes defence with intelligent runs and shots at goalkeeper Denis Onyango before scoring from a free kick after 23 minutes.
The Uganda Cranes defence comprising Andy Mwesigwa, Isaac Insinde and Walusimbe on the left flank , was shaky from kickoff and also was not passing or clearing balls very well which made the midfield disintegrate
Another danger man Seydouba Soumah who was making good runs and clever passes scored the second goal from the penalty spot after Uganda Cranes Captain Andrew Mwesigwa brought down striker Keita in the forbidden area and was sent off because he was the last man in the defense.
Guinea continued with their dominance after the sending off with Cranes midfielders failing to stream together 2-3 passes and the forwards Geoffrey Massa and Dan Sserunkuma wasteful in front of goal with the few chances created.
Guinea who qualified with 10 points will travel to Equatorial Guinea alongside Ghana fro group E next year for the finals while Cranes go back to the drawing board.
