Like earlier announced, Last night comedian Alex Muhangi successfully hosted the Comedy Knights Rwanda show that took place at Cayenne Restaurant and Lounge located in Bukoto. Being the host didn’t stop him from cracking jokes which saw the crowd burst in laughter even before he started off show time.
At 9:20 pm, Alex joined the acoustic duo of David and Herbert who were the first performers of the night. Dressed in a pair of brown Timberland boots, black pants, a white t-shirt and a black jacket, Muhangi thrilled the revelers when he mimed songs like A Pass’ ‘Wuuyo’, ‘Hello’ by Adele and Nutty Neithan’s ‘Bakuwe Kyonywa’.
He later opened the rib cracking session which was led by upcoming comedians Allan Optional and Odisi Omuzibu. Prince from Burundi who was an invited comedian followed next and he cracked the crowd with Jokes like how East Africans should vote skinny people like him as presidents basing on a reason that their body size easily convinces donors to give quick aid to the country thinking that the president is so skinny because of hunger and poverty.
Shortly after, the stage was opened to main performers, that is Harve, Arthur, Babu and Michael all from Rwanda. France based Harve Kimenyi was the first and he exited the crowd with a joke of how Jesus is a half cast. He gave a reason that it’s only a black woman who can tell lie that an angel came and impregnated her but it is God’s child and it’s only a white man who can believe such a lie.
Arthur Nkusi, former Rwanda Big Brother Africa representative followed next cracking jokes of how it is easy to recognise that a Rwandese pastor bought a new shoe because when he is preaching or stressing a point, he raises the leg in the air but when the shoe is worn out, the pastor just kneels.
The next Comedian was Babu who said that he likes Mose Radio and Weasel but their lyrics kind of confuses him for example in their ‘Amaso’ song where they sang that ‘Ago amaaso (eyes) physically fit’, he urged that how can eyes be physically fit.
Michael Sengazi was the last comedian to take the stage. He cracked a joke of how Rwandese especially women are afraid of plastic bags and at their national airport, there is a warning deterring people from the bags and how Rwanda is about to invent a plastic bags detector.
All comedians who performed were funny, people really enjoyed and had value for money they paid to catch the comedy Knights Rwanda.
