“I am a musician and I stand strong in my beliefs. I am not at any moment willing to give in to hooliganism or any form of intimidation. I implore you to denounce all forms of violence and intolerance because I am not about to stop performing or appearing in public.” Bebe Cool said, a day after being humiliated last Friday.
The Amber heart foundation CEO also added that what happened during the evening was unfortunate but not unexpected. He also confirmed that the situation is not as alarming as it seems because some people are now being planted to just sabotage his performances everywhere. He is being booked but that is not something he is feared of. “I am a musician and I stand strong in my beliefs. I am willing to give in to hooliganism or any kind of intimidation.”
Last Friday Bebe Cool was carried off stage by counter terrorism officers after revellers started throwing bottles at him while he was performing at the Swangz All Star Concert featuring Jamaican singer Tarrus Riley. He first hesitated to move off stage but on seeing that the situation was getting out of hand, they carried him off stage. This was mainly because of his affiliation to the NRM ruling party which many believe is intimidating his music rival Bobi Wine.
