Bobi Wine real names Ssentamu Robert Kyagulanyi is a pan Africanist and all that makes him happy is seeing his fellow countrymen being at perfect peace, especially now that we are nearing the 2016 general elections slated for Thursday the 18th of February.
Ahead of the elections, The Ghetto president released the video for his fresh tune ‘Dembe’ that is full of words of advocating for a peaceful voting process.
The video was shot and directed by KIM XP and audio was done by Dream Studio’s Sir Dan Magic. It starts with a group fierce men holding sticks and torturing everyone they come across in the community. Some people are forced to close their shops in fear of the fierce gang.
There is also a scene where a contesting lady addressing a rally is violently thrown a rotten egg at, the video also shows a person who tears posters of other contesting candidates and replaces them with his candidate’s posters.
‘Dembe’, a Luganda language word meaning peace is one of the songs Bobi has released towards the general elections, urging people to remain calm and go through the whole election process in peace. As we near the elections season, let it not bring any differences amongst us, just like Bobi Wine advises us in the song.
