Dancehall artiste A Pass will look for any possible reason to be in the news and we are comfortable to say that he has succeeded with that. He has managed to be relevant in people’s faces either through attacking fellow entertainers or making controversial remarks that get everyone talking.
But with his jokes aside, he makes sense sometimes that is if you are keen with what he says. On Tuesday he was hosted at NBS ‘After 5’ show alongside fellow Dancehall artiste Khalifa Aganaga and together they free styled for fans live in TV. Khalifa ‘murdered’ the freestyle which A Pass didn’t and later Douglas Lwanga the shows co-host asked them why they don’t have a collabo song.
A Pass’ reason was that he charges Ug Shs ten million for a collabo lately and his other reason was that collabo songs in Uganda just end in the studio and sometimes on radios and TV’s.
“You will never make good money out of collaborations. The song might be a hit but it is rare for both of you to perform it together in different places.” A Pass explained.
With this he meant that promoters will never book two musicians who have a collabo for the same gig which makes no sense for either artiste to keep performing the song alone.
He further added that he has a song with Cindy but they have never performed it together and the other collaboration ‘Memories’ with Lillian, he has performed it with her only twice at Blankets and Wines and then at her show.
