Gospel singer Exodus run shock waves through several people yesterday when he said that, he tried to commit suicide when he was still a child.
The singer who was being hosted on NTV the Beat told the host Douglas Lwanga that growing up wasn’t easy because he was a drug addict on the streets. Digging deeper into his past, Exodus also revealed that when he was in P.5 his mother passed away and was taken to live with his father.
He remembers one moment vividly, his stepmother accused him falsely and his father beat him to the pulp for one straight hour. It was then when he felt enough was enough and he tried to commit suicide by crashing the radio batteries and swallowing residue, but when that didn’t work, he got his father’s watch removed the batteries and swallowed them as well. He miraculously survived because God had different plans for him.
Looking at him now and his journey, Exodus he has turned out to be an inspirational story to those who are still struggling on the streets.
