It is always something hard for some people to reveal their HIV status even though they are negative, to those who taste positive, they can’t even think of revealing it because they fear stigmatization and may be being a talk of town especially if they are public figures like celebrities.
Galaxy FM’s presenter Mr Mosh, an events MC and a musician at that, is one of those few people who revealed their HIV status recently as the world was celebrating the World AIDS Day on Tuesday the 1st of December.
“I read so much about the Late Philly’s HIV revelation and I was inspired so I made a deal with myself to do it each year on World AIDS Day. So I call upon people in the lime light, be it politicians, artistes, sports men and the like to do it as an eternal gift to their fans and foes alike”. Mr Mosh told Chano8 when he was reached for a comment
The good news is that Mosh is negative and to the Ugandan youths who the ‘Ndiku Digi’ singer has inspired, try to abstain, or use protection and do away with the killer AIDS.
However, doing all this, Mr Mosh says that the moment was tense but due to the fact that he had already made up his mind, he wouldn’t turn back be it what. To the Ugandan celebrities, you know you inspire the young generation which is at a very high risk of the ‘Monster’ AIDS, come out and join the fight just like Mosh did and revealed his HIV status and guess what, We shall fight AIDS.
