The Live band night session that takes place every Saturday at Liquid Silk in Bugolobi took a new twist when silky-voiced Uganda songstress Irene Naumbiru made a cameo appearance alongside Saxophonist Brian Mugenyi last night.
The duo excited revelers at the Bugolobi-based club at the theme night also dubbed ‘Myko Ouma and Friends’ Saturday live band session that has become an important ‘plot’ for music lovers every Saturday with a variety of live performances from some of Uganda’s top artistes and instrumentalists.
The night usually characterised by Afro-Jazz and afro-soul fusions brings together some top Saxophinists like Brian Mugenyi, Joseph Sax as well as guitar maestros like Charmant Mushaga and Myko Ouma himself who was pulling the strings alongside the performers of the night that kept the fans on their toes.
Emmanual Dragu who is a regular presence on the vocal scene was on top form as usual, with some cover hits alongside Janzi Band before top RnB singer Iryn took to stage to perform ‘Kwagala Nyo’ and ‘Nkweki’ that sent the fans into overdrive while Brian performed Goodlyfe’s ‘Sweeter than Kuku’ that sent chilling effects through the fans.
The Saturday Band Night happens every Saturday at the Village Mall-based Liquid Silk in Bugolobi and fans can catch up with some of the top Ugandan artistes over a drink from 9:00pm to Midnight.
