Songstress Spice Diana of the ‘Onsanuula’ song fame is in deep sorrow, following the loss of her long time friend, helper and personal driver identified as Mukasa Sowedi who was shot last night on his way back home from a campaign rally which he had attended yesterday together with Spice.
On hearing the sad news, Chano8 contacted Spice and she had this to say. “We were coming from a rally in Entebbe so we dropped him at Salama road and we went ahead in our own programs. We had just arrived to where we were going and we tried to communicate with him but the one who picked up his phone told us he had been shot.”
“The story we have is that it was planned because someone says that they found him and a friend sitting somewhere. A security guard who they say is newly employed at a building near KCCA offices in Makindye, pointed a gun at them. They put up their hands as they tried to plead but the man couldn’t listen.” She added.
“He shot the friend dead in the chest and then Sowedi in the ribs. People gathered and in the people was a person who knew us. He called and told us that Sowedi had been shot dead and rushed to hospital. We are now going for burial in Mukono.” Spice concluded.
It’s too absurd but may Spice Diana and the late Sowedi’s family remain strong in this sad situation and may his soul rest in peace.
