Jackie Chandiru Collapses While At MUBS To Sensitize Students About Dangers Of Drug Abuse

After battling drug addiction issues for close to four years, Former Blu*3 member, singer Jackie Chandiru is back on her feet. She has managed to release songs like ‘Mi Ora Ku’ and ‘Whine It’ featuring Jose Chameleone, as well as performing at some events around town

Talking about performing and appearance at events, on Friday afternoon the 8th of March, things didn’t go as planned for her while at Makerere University Business School (MUBS) women’s forum event she was invited to as one of the key note speakers alongside others like Brigadier General Felix Kulaigye and Ms Joseline Kateeba the MB Crest Foam

Jackie was expected to sensitize MUBS students about the dangers of drug abuse and addiction as well as her whole experience about drug addiction but unfortunately, she didn’t make it to the podium to address the waiting students. The ‘Gold Digger’ singer collapsed and was immediately whisked away by her aides and rushed to an unknown destination for treatment.

By the time we went to press, we had not heard anything from her management team as her manager was not responding to our phone calls. We however wish Jackie a quick recovery

Apart from the MUBS event, Jackie was expected to perform at the Girls Festival 2019 which took place at Lugogo Hockey Grounds today Friday, we are not sure whether she made it there following the incident at the Nakawa based university.

Jackie spent close to four years off the music scene battling an addiction of a powerful pain killer called Pethidine which she had gotten so addicted to, following an accident she was involved in years back.
