Jacke Chandiru of the ‘Gold Digger’ fame is in the studio cooking up something serious. Jackie who formerly was with the girl group Blu 3*, came to fame with her hit song ‘Agassi’.
She followed it up with a series of collabos with big name artists that the fans appreciated in East Africa but recently took a low profile after a series of stories concerning her personal problems dominated the tabloids.
The girl from West Nile is this time working with former obsessions member Sharon O who also went solo after the group disintegrated. The former Big Brother representative looked in good spirits as they worked the vocals. Jackie too was exuding confidence she had just brought from the Coke studio where she featured alongside Shaa from Tanzania.
The new song titled Lu’ba Lu’ba (luo for follow me, Follow me) is a dance-hall tune with old school funky beats added to it by the crafty hands of Producer PaddyMan at his Makindye based Audio One studios. The song is in a mixture of English, Luo, Luganda and Lugbara ti.
“We are doing something special for our fans. This is a new style which we hope the fans will enjoy”. An excited Jackie told Chano8
Paddy man is well known for producing Chameleone’s block buster hit songs like Valu Valu, Badilisha and Tubonge. He has also produced songs for Juliana Kanyomozi, Iryn Namubiru, Meshach Semakula and recently King Saha.
From what Paddy and the girls had worked so far, the song sounded great to chano8. We promise to bring you first hand updates on any developments when the song is officially out.
