Just recently new kid on the block John Kasadha alias John Blaq hit it big when he penned a multi-million deal with one of the biggest beverage company in Uganda and the world over Crown Beverages Limited for Pepsi promotions.
It was then attributed to his rapid popularity and wins at the Galaxy FM Zzina Awards which drew the company to him.
Now the man who grew up from Bweyogere is back at it as opportunity strikes gain with ‘Tukwatagane’ singer once again landing on yet a second multi-million deal with the renowned Nakaw-based beverage company.
With the recently concluded Tukonectinge With Pepsi promo for which he was the Campaign ambassador proving a huge success, it comes as a no surprise to many observers. The Tukonectinge Campaign saw thousands of locals participating and winning millions worth of prizes, 25 Toyota wish cars driven home and more than 30 people winning a fully paid trip to Dubai.
Speaking about the deal which is at advanced stages, a source from Pepsi said; “John Blaq brings good vibes, has great support from his fans and is a humble person which I think might have made him sign a new deal. His music is getting better and given the right support with the right partners, John will only get better.”
Although our source did not divulge into the financial details of the deal, he admitted its almost a done deal. “All I can say is, the singer is smiling all the way to the bank.” He said.
John Blaq scooped three awards including; ‘Best Dancehall Song’ for his hit single ‘Tukwatagane’, ‘Best Dancehall Artiste’, and ‘Best Breakthrough Artiste’ at the Zzina Awards and has since never looked back and a close associate believes for that reason Pepsi will be behind him on many fronts and long-term as they have enjoyed working with him in the past.
With barely two years on the music scene, the singer who was once told he couldn’t sing because of his deep voice has proved to many that he poses exceptional talent which has propelled him to stardom in his music career. And now we await and see where this will take him.
