Kampala City Festival Returns Bigger

Arguably the best festival in Uganda going by the number of people who attend, the activities during the day, the showcases and the companies that are involved, the Kampala City Festival has returned bigger and better this time round with the theme ‘A Black Yellow Red affair”

The event that is slated to happen on the 2nd of October this year will still have Kampala sealed off during the day to give room to exhibitors and allow the general public enjoy themselves. The announcement of the return was made on Tuesday at the City Hall Gardens.

Speaking at the event, KCCA Deputy spokesperson Robert Kalumba revealed that the festival has continued to attract more numbers growing from 300,000 people when it was introduced, to 4 million last year. This year’s festival themed “A Black Yellow Red affair” will focus on celebrating our Ugandan culture and diversity.

The festival designed to be the biggest street party in East-Africa is now an annual event that brings together all city dwellers, stakeholders and business people. It focuses on togetherness, one of the city’s oldest and richest cultural ideas. Besides major corporate companies exhibiting their products, there are usually colorful caravans and it also comes with lots of celebrations, partying and merry making.

Bell Lager has also has promised to make this years’ experience much bigger by injecting 150 million shillings into the preparations for the festival.

Last year, the festival had over 30 entertainment acts and more are expected to take part this time round. So if you want to be part of this exciting fun day, start planning your outfits and get ready to have lots of fun. This festival keeps living up to expectation when it comes to fun.
