As most Ugandans are still jubilating that Kanye West and Kim Kardashian visited Uganda, one person who hasn’t been impressed is Bobi Wine.
The musician who also doubles as the Kyadondo East constituency Member of Parliament is mostly angered by the fact that Kanye West had the audacity to give a courtesy visit to the president of Uganda.
“He is hobnobbing with a president who has been in power now for 32 years and restricts any freedom, a country where opposition activists are tortured and imprisoned,” Bobi Wine said.
“It would have been great if he had used his voice for the good of people in Africa. “I’m a musician but I am not allowed to stage a show in my own country because I disagree with the president. It is very disappointing.” Bobi Wine added according to the guardian website
Bobi Wine’s statements are based on the fact that his highly anticipated concert that was slated to happen this weekend at Namboole stadium was cancelled with no clear reasons.
