Arguably the best singing group in East Africa, Kenya’s Sauti Sol is scheduled to stage their first show in Uganda next month.
They are mostly famous for their “Sura yako” track that has scooped several awards on the continent which even forced Nigerian Iyanya to do a remix with them.
A house hold name in Kenya, Sauti Sol is comprised of four namely Bien-Aime Baraza, Willis Austin Chimano, Polycarp Otieno and Savara Mudigi and a mix of their soulful voices harmonies, guitar riffs and drum rhythm and blend warm resonant pop with traditional Kenyan influences.
Among the accolades they’ve won, was the best African band in the MTV EMA Award last year.
With “Nerea” which is their latest track, highly rising on the charts allover the East African region, it’s only safe to say that the band will have a massive performance next month at the Kampala Serena hotel.
Tickets will go 100,000 and 200,000.
