Dancehall artist King Michael has given hope to women by urging them to stay focused despite the several challenges that today’s women are facing.
He says many women have lost focus because they suffer a lot due to poverty, sickness, domestic violence and discrimination in society.
Speaking on Delta TV’s love programme Pillow Talk, Michael says there’s need for women to be empowered to overcome such challenges.
“Women should be empowered to overcome their social, economic and political problems, because many don’t have the capacity to uplift themselves,” he said.
He said he always celebrates women’s day because women are special human beings.
“ I cooked for my wife and gave her gifts. On women’s day, I stayed home with her despite having a busy schedule,” he said.
The Dancehall DJ said that he decided to settle down with one woman because he was tired of having multiple girl friends
“When I saw Bebe Cool, José Chameleone and Bobi Wine getting married, I also decided to marry because my reputation as a local musician was what I wanted in life,” he added.
