When the organizers of the annual Nile gold Jazz safari announced that Kirk Whalum and Karyn White are the headliners of this year’s event, many people were bewildered about who these two artistes are but whoever attended the meet and greet party last evening left anticipating a great show this Friday at Kampala Serena hotel.
The two legendary artistes got up close and personal with the media, sponsors and a few fans last evening at club Guvnor during the meet and greet party.
The R&B star Karyn White was the first to speak to the guests and she said this is going to be her best show ever despite her age. “In a few days to come, I’m going to be 50 years but I promise to give Ugandans my all on Friday. This is going to be the best show from me so endeavor to be there.” She said.
Kirk Whalum, the American smooth Jazz saxophonist first praised the beauty of Ugandan ladies and the sweetness of the food before promising to give Ugandans a show worth remembering. “I have to admit. Uganda has the most beautiful women on earth and your food is awesome. Being my first time in Africa, I will always have memories about Uganda. Let’s meet at the show.” Kirk was quoted.
The 8th annual show is taking place tomorrow at Kampala Serena hotel starting at 6pm till late. Tickets cost she 50, 000 platinum and she 200,000 gold.
